Arizona Runners Hockey

The Arizona Runners would like to say thank you to each and every player that participated in the 2010 - 2011 season tryouts and congratulations to those who have been rostered. We have been fortunate to evaluate and review many excellent players. Difficult decisions have been made by the coaches of the Runners. We are proud to announce the following players have been selected to join the Arizona Runners this season.

The "massive" promotions of our 2009 - 2010 Midget U16AA skaters to higher levels has limited our ability to field a U16AA squad this season. However, our U18AA & strong Bantam, PeeWee, Squirt & Mite contingents at AA, A & B development levels, ensure our ongoing & growing success.

Runner 1993's moving on: Kegan Storjohann & Donovan Mattfeldt National Junior Prospects Hockey League (NJPHL) - Tier 1 AAA; Mitchell Lyons - AZ Redhawks Jr. A; Brayton Van Gotum, Austin Nottke, Taylor Parot, David Deadman - Runner U18AA & noted Jr. offers.

Runner 1994's moving on: Lucas Lomax - Tier 1 AAA to the NJPHL; Aaron Bland - Tier 1 AAA; Austin Blackman/Robbie Downing - Maine Midget Hockey; Blake Simmons, Eric Gatson, Geno Derrico and Collin Salotti - Runner U18AA offers; Conner Darr U16AA and Nick Colucci & Christian Palos - Centennial HS state champs.

Runner 1995's moving on: Joshua Clark - Tier 1 AAA and Trey Kerns - Runners U18AA.

Victims of our own success? Hardly. The Arizona Runners Association is built to move skaters! These skaters have paved a road for our rise into the realm of the top AA/AAA programs. We thank them, their parents & our top coaches for being an integral part of this continued movement.

Indeed, Arizona Runners skate on! Our Bantam AA's feature one of the finest female skaters in the USA, Amanda Martin, & other high-end skaters from Peoria & across the valley. Combine that with our talented coaching depth lead by Shawn Babin, Director of Hockey Operations, Stuart Judge, multiple NHL & Jr. contacts; Shawn McCosh, NHL; Brad McCaughey, University of Michigan Woverines D-1; Mychael Moore, PF Changs Tier 1; Tom McCullough, Michigan Elite and Larry Gibson, Director of Goalie Operations (daughter Kaley - St. Norbert's College) and so many more. Our Arizona Runners are the North & West Valley's finest in hockey.
