I'm very pleased and excited to announce The AZ Runner's "Goalie for a Day Program!"
This program offers every Mite and Squirt player the opportunity to try the position of Goaltender.
The benefits of this program are numerous. Each child will be able to try and be professionally instructed in this challenging position. Additionally, each student athlete will also be able to more closely understand the insight of what goes on in a goalie's world and in turn will fully appreciate and respect the position more clearly.
It is the Association's goal to identify potentially talented goalies at an early age and to begin to develop those talents as quickly as possible.
The Program will begin implimentation in early October.

Larry will be working with each teams' goalie(s) and developing an influential goalie program for the Arizona Runners Hockey Club. We are very excited about having Larry back.

Larry Gibson - Director of Goaltending Operations.
Master Level 5 USA Hockey Coach since 1996.
26 years working with goalies of all ages.
Arizona Coaching Coordinator since 1990 for USA Hockey administering and overseeing level 1, 2 and 3 coaching clinics.
USAH Level 4 Presenter on Goaltending for the Rocky Mountain District, having spoken in Phoenix, Houston and Denver.
Presents USAH Dave Peterson Goalie Coaching Symposiums annually in Phoenix.
I haved worked alongside goalie coaches Sean Burke and Benoit Alaire in AZ State Player Development Camps.
I volunteer annually at Rocky Mountain District Player Development Camps in Salt Lake City Utah.
Goalie Coach for ASU Club Hockey from 1990-1997.
Goalie Coach for Peoria Jr. Coyotes Jr B team 2005-2006.
Have coached goalies to District and National Player Development Camps. One going to play DIV lll Hockey at St. Norbert College.
Played hockey and graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1984 with a Degree in Philosophy.
