Arizona Runners Hockey

Arizona Runners Hockey  smooth transition into its second year of player development/promotion, monetary value and community service has inspired the valley’s frozen ice fans.  Top players and coaches have enlisted to assist our programs at all levels.  The 2010/11 season brings these elements and more to you: highlights include – Runner’s equipment festival in August (open to the public, see where the thrills begin), all Runner’s tournament teams trekking to Las Vegas in October and the Runner’s own “Cactus Cup” hockey tournament during MLK weekend in January 2011.   You can also grab a friend for drop-in developmental summer skates at all levels, so, definantly check the user friendly website at www.arizonarunnershockey.com for updated times. Runners skate on.

The high end skating of the Runner U18AA, Bantam AA & Pee Wee AA levels perpetuates the transition to more AA & AAA teams for the upcoming years. This philosophy was started in 2009/10 as (6) U16AA skaters entered Tier 1 AAA, (2) Jr. A tenders and multiple high level offers to many more of our skaters. A total of 14 moving on! 

The PWC Hockey Club and the Arizona Runners Board of Directors lead this formidable hockey renaissance with solid direction, but, the Runners realize its overall strength and appeal is at the AA, A and B levels. This is accomplished by offering superb training guided by top coaches with prices ranging from around $3,000.00 to $3,300.00 per skater. The minimum skaters required for this value is based on 15, certainly less than the norm of 17-20. If the skater minimum is exceeded, monies are put into need based areas, especially helping families that may fall short during these economic times.  The Runner families have embraced this and are at the forefront of nurturing our community’s foundation and it is “the right thing to do”.  P.W.C. is an acronym throughout the Runner organization’s title, championship banners, and information letters and more; it stands for People Who Care. Indeed, we do, look forward to seeing you at the Peoria rink this fall and in the future!  Arizona Runners Hockey is the place to grow.
